Wow… I would’ve loved it even more when he had stopped at the chord at 6:58/6:59 and not add the 7:00/7:01 chord… It would have created a better feeling… But I love this song, it actually has good lyrics imo. And the melodies are great too.

Yeah what a freak I can’t get that guy out of my head whenever I have this song playing through.

The irony is how near-perfect this song actually is.

to say he’s a comedian.. he can really write a great song

  • tamazingic says:

Musical and lyrical genius. Love the Aussie accent rather than adopting a faux-American typical rock/pop style. Facial expressions are perfect.

my favourite verse is the Brain verse.

“the weirdest thing about a mind, is every answer that you find, is the basis of a brand new cliche.”

it’s just such an amazing song, that park i quoted in particular. it speaks to me. i love it.

This is just one of those songs that’s an anomoly, the chances of another so touching in my lifetime is ever so slim.
I think anyone can relate to this song, something for everyone and all that jazz.
It affirms that everyone is self conscious, I particularly found myself relating to “I often try to fill it up with wine
And the weirdest thing about it is
I spend so much time hating it
But it never says a bad word about me”

  • dazmann says:
