no you don’t HAVE to be. Again…you need a fan base!! That’s rule no.1, alongside having music made; with your band or solo etc. Nobody is going to endorse someone who can’t help sell their product. Sam thing goes for record deals…if the label doesn’t see making a profit with you, more than likely you won’t get signed. These are all things tieed to how many fans you have, who will BUY what you have to offer

Very helpful, thanks for this. The only problem is getting viewers, a lot of bands that I listen to aren’t very popular and getting covers to be seen are hard (and my own stuff).
