no you don’t HAVE to be. Again…you need a fan base!! That’s rule no.1, alongside having music made; with your band or solo etc. Nobody is going to endorse someone who can’t help sell their product. Sam thing goes for record deals…if the label doesn’t see making a profit with you, more than likely you won’t get signed. These are all things tieed to how many fans you have, who will BUY what you have to offer
