Saw the movie almost a week ago in Toronto. Not too big a fan. I liked Paul Schneider, the poetry and that fantastic choral arrangement of Mozart’s “Serenade for Winds” that’s in the trailer. But the film itself was too dry and esoteric for my tastes. I’m not a fan of period pieces set in this era, which is ironic since AMADEUS is my all time film. But Mozart and Salieri were compelling characters. Keats was just boring.

Absolutely. The lighting, colors and photography is gorgeous; and the story is captivating — if a little slow-moving.

Just so you know, I saw the movie and adored it.
However, I’m not going to expect everyone else to love it, too. I know that some people are bound to dislike it. That doesn’t automatically mean that they have no taste and deserve to be looked down upon and made fun of, though.
Practice makes permanent. Make a habit of blowing up at anyone who doesn’t agree with you in little things, and you’ll do the same in big things.
I really do suggest that you see the movie before making up your mind about it. A friend of mine talked me into watching it with her, and at first I thought it would be incredibly boring — but it wasn’t. It somehow manages to move slowly AND keep your attention, all at once.
Something tells me that’s the sign of a good movie. I’m not commanding you to love it or anything, though. Make up your own mind.
I read that she did gain a few for the film. I saw it last night. It was wonderful. Bring tissues.

i would not give a damn if she didn’t like it. putting excessive comments about how these kind of movies suck and it will *obviously* be boring and sucky without having seen the movie overdoes it, though. thats just called trolling.
