uh, this is syphonic metal rock. Weird ass classification, but I’ve only heard of two bands in this genre, and that is Nightwish (which this is) and Within Temptation.
If you recall, in an interview they’re music was called pop, and Anette and Tuomas, the singer and head of hte band, were offended.

ya, but the point is, they’re not pop. THat’s an insult.
Pop? Dude, you seriously are lost in music genres. This is symphonic metal. The same orchestra, which played in LOTR soundtrack, play in this song (and the whole Once album, from which this song is aswel as Dark Passion PLay). So pop is an insult, really.

Well, yeh, maybe on those dark battle scenes, The Poet.. would fit better, but as for the whole film Ghost Love Score is better. After all, goodies win.
