Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo (1993) is probably the best, but I like the Super Castlevania IV (1991) take on the song, as well. The Akumajo Dracula X68000 (1993) one is also pretty cool.

    whats 2:08????

another Konami game that the stingy Japanese didn’t release?

  • tveye363 says:

Well, it’s been released now on PSP in a collection with Symphony of the Night.

  • PAMuffinMan says:

The Castlevania Chronicles one sounds like an OCRemix version, where the remixer thinks “Techno makes EVERYTHING BETTER” and then forgets to make it sound anything like the original.

  • Xeogred says:

Wow, that one is pretty bad, lol.

  • Ecko50100 says:

No, Akumajo Dracula X68000 was later released as Castlevania Chronicles, with upgrades here in the U.S.

  • stanleyopar2000 says:

    cool….

what about the ones that have NOT been released here in anyway?

  • PAMuffinMan says:

And it sucks because overall, this is a great song and most of the other versions are fantastic, or at the very least, pretty good.

  • Segacamp says:

wow at 5:55 to the next Theme it sound like James Bond instead of Vampire Killer

  • ThePerfectance says:

The title graphics at 8:25 for Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles look like Bacon.

  • Raxahiro says:

    This is fantastic.

  • Effinoob says:

This tune is synonymous with Castlevania. Almost any kid growing up with a Nintendo in their home would know this tune in a heartbeat.

  • lx59j2 says:

1:29 is the best, I’d say. Can even hear an organ in there, which is appropriate and cool.

  • fuze54 says:

love them all! I think, no wait love em all!

  • JuanACookie says:

next we should have the castlevania arcade version. If possible.

  • 2tonesg says:

there are 2 of them, but i think you mean the second one.

  • Froutloups says:

HOLY CRAP you’re so right XD

  • Segacamp says:

yeah I found that weird especially since I enjoy the Vampire Killer Theme but I have to say that Super Castlevania 4 was really awesome

  • Leesmapman says:

you can hear the Vampire Killer theme in the end titles of Lament of Innocence too.

  • evil5th says:

Such an awesome song.. Thanks for this!

  • nikolasbelmont says:

Seriously, Super Castlevania is the best Castlevania to date, no contest. This anime direction they’ve taken is wrong imo. I liked them too, but Symphony of the Night perfected that formula, and they should’ve left it at that imo :d I’ve been waiting for Super Castlevania’s true successor for years :( Mebbe Lords of Shadow will deliver, who knows…even tho it’s 3d…

  • Segacamp says:

    oh ok that sounds cool

  • crazyiproshow says:

Did you play Order of Ecclesia? They went back to the gothic style….i hate the anime of the first 2 DS games and ROB

  • nikolasbelmont says:

Actually I’m referring to the RPG elements as well – I liked the no-nonsense gameplay oriented approach of Castlevania 4. The gameplay was near perfect (if a tad too easy), music was perfect, atmosphere was perfect…a perfect game for the time period. If they’d make a revision of Super Castlevania w. new graphs I’d be in heaven.
